Sunny Arizona

It is amazing to me how sunny it is here in Arizona. Every day it seems, sometime during daylight hours, the sun shows. The really nice thing is that many many days, the sun shines all day! Risky business for the easily sunburned.

We are enjoying a month at Val Vista Winter Village north of Casa Grande, and we have been treated to extremely friendly snowbirds here. Plenty of activities, which have been fun. This week had the first days warm enough for us to relax and swim at the pool. High 70s and 80 for highs.

We had a truly nice visit from friends that flew down here from a -17 Ames, Iowa. We ATV'd, went to the Biosphere and then spent time at Casa Grande Ruins National Monument. Had a great time. Ellen got her Golden Age Pass!!! Hence we all got in for free! And now for life, we can enter any National Park/Monument with the entry fee waived. Yet another reward for getting older!

Today's thought: If you don't get lost, you may never be found.
