Leap Day

Today is a real bonus...One extra day of this year to enjoy in Arizona. We are leaping for joy!

Late afternoon at the pool--yes, we did swim in 89 degree water and did not freeze upon climbing out of the pool because the air temp was 80 or 81! I am a little pink despite a layer of sunblock.

We then went to a 'happy hour' next door hosted by a nice couple from Minnesota, and we chatting with 4 other couples. This life is so unique because we are sharing it with folks from all over the US and Canada. Plus our horizons are expanding in that our fellow travelers are from all walks of life.

I must confess that while we were teaching, it was 'natural' to hang out with like professionals--those in education. Now we are sharing time and visiting with and getting to know carpenters, doctors, pilots, small business owners, retired military, mechanics, and on and on and on...and each individual has a refreshingly new take on life from their varied experiences. This is quite an unexpected bonus to the fulltime life style.

today's thought: Art is a lot like morality...you have to draw the line somewhere.
